Description: This spatial dataset of test holes and samples is based on a compilation of GIS aggregate resources (sand and gravel, crushed stone) reconnaissance scale data spanning seven county projects completed since 2000 by the DNR's Aggregate Resource Mapping Program (ARMP). The test hole site and sample data was collected to verify the presence or absence of sand and gravel at selected test hole sites from 7 completed Aggregate Mapping Program counties and continues presently. Selected test holes were sampled for aggregate gradations and/or construction aggregate quality specifications. The Minnesota Department of Transportation completed the lithological exam for construction aggregate quality.
